Buddy is the AI assistant in the training catalogue. Buddy helps you find trainings, answers questions about the learning offering and can provide information about your certificates. This article explains how to use Buddy.
Requirements
- You need the $$name_user$$_Buddy right. Your administrator sets this right through your authorisation group.
- You need the $$name_user$$_Catalogue right to open the catalogue where Buddy is available.
Open Buddy
- Go to Catalogue in the main menu.
- Buddy appears as a chat window on the catalogue page.
- Type your question in the text field and press Enter or click the send button.
Find trainings
Buddy can find relevant trainings based on your question. Describe what you want to learn and Buddy searches the learning offering available to you.
Buddy uses information such as the training type and subtype, language, duration, short description, learning objective, target audience, keywords, category and price. Buddy also distinguishes between digital trainings, such as e-learning, direct learning and combined trainings with an e-learning component, and classroom trainings.
Examples of questions:
- "I am looking for training about workplace safety"
- "Which leadership trainings are available?"
- "Is there a first-aid course?"
- "Which digital trainings are available about safety?"
Buddy shows a maximum of five trainings with direct links to the training details. From the training details, you can register directly for a session.
Note: Buddy only shows trainings that are visible to you based on your department, function and authorisation group.
View certificates
Buddy can provide information about the status of your certificates. You can ask questions about obtained, expired, expiring and missing certificates.
Examples of questions:
- "Which certificates have I obtained?"
- "Which certificates will expire soon?"
- "Which certificates are still missing for my function?"
- "Do I have an exemption for a particular certificate?"
Buddy shows the following information for each certificate:
| Data | Description |
|---|---|
| Status | Obtained, expired, expiring, missing or exempt. |
| Validity date | Until when the certificate is valid. |
| Source of the requirement | The function, project or project role from which the certificate is required. |
Ask general questions
In addition to finding trainings and viewing certificates, you can ask Buddy general questions about learning and development within the platform. Buddy answers questions about topics such as:
- How the registration process works

Note: Buddy only answers questions related to the learning offering, trainings, certificates and compliance. Questions outside these topics are politely declined.
