Configure required certificates per project

Required certificates per project specify which certificates project members must obtain. This is useful when a project requires specific certificates or qualifications that are separate from function requirements.

Requirements

  • You need the $$projects$$_manage_certificates permission. The name of this permission depends on the translation; $$projects$$ can also be Teams, for example.
  • The project must already have been created via Administration > Projects > Projects.
  • The certificate definitions must already exist in the system.

Set required certificates

  1. Go to Administration > Projects > Projects.
  2. Click the edit icon next to the project.
  3. Go to the Required certificates tab.
  4. Click Add to mark a certificate as required.
  5. Select the desired certificate from the list.
  6. Click Save.

Additional certificates

In addition to required certificates, you can also set additional (optional) certificates:

  1. Go to the Additional certificates tab for the project.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select the certificate and click Save.

Note: Additional certificates are not included in the compliance calculation, but they are visible in the user profile.

View the compliance matrix

You can view an overview of all project members and their compliance status via the Matrix tab for the project:

  1. Open the project via Administration > Projects > Projects.
  2. Go to the Matrix tab.
  3. Select Required certificates to view the compliance matrix.

The matrix shows which certificates each project member has obtained and which are still missing. You can filter by department, role and name.

Frequently asked questions

Are project requirements added to function requirements?

Yes, the project's required certificates are added to the requirements for the function and function group. A user must meet all requirements.

Can I set required certificates per project role?

Yes, you can also require certificates at project-role level. Open the role via the Roles tab for the project and set the required certificates there.

Where can I find a report of required certificates per project?

Go to Reports > Teams/Projects > Required team/project certificates for an overview.
