When duplicate user profiles have been created by mistake, you can merge them into one profile. When merging, the data and training history of both profiles are combined.
Requirements
- You need the Merge users right.
Merge users
- Go to Actions > Actions > Find user.
- Find the user you want to merge.
- Click the merge icon next to the user.
- Find the second (duplicate) user profile.
- Select which profile should be retained as the main profile.
- Check the merge summary.
- Click Confirm to perform the merge.
What is merged?
The following data is combined when users are merged:
- Training history — All registrations and results are transferred to the main profile.
- Certificates — All certificates obtained are merged.
- Notification history — All sent notifications are retained.
- Employments — All employments are transferred.
The basic data (name, login name, email address, department and function) is taken from the selected main profile.
Note: Merging users cannot be undone. Carefully check which profile is used as the main profile before confirming the merge.

Can I merge more than two profiles at the same time?
No, you can merge two profiles at a time. If there are more than two duplicate profiles, merge them step by step.
What happens to the duplicate profile after merging?
The duplicate profile is deleted. All data is transferred to the main profile.
Is the login information of the duplicate profile retained?
No, only the login information of the main profile remains active. The user must log in using the details of the main profile.
