Set up accreditation organisations

Accreditation organisations are external bodies that award accreditation points to training. By setting up accreditation organisations in PlusPort, you can link accreditation points to training and track how many points users have obtained.

Requirements

  • You need administrator rights to manage accreditation organisations.
  • The accreditation registration module must be activated for the portal.

Add an accreditation organisation

  1. Go to Administration > General administration > Accreditation.
  2. Click Add to create a new accreditation organisation.
  3. Enter the following information:

Name The name of the accreditation organisation. Yes
Code A unique code for the organisation. No
Description An explanation of the accreditation organisation. No
  1. Click Save.

Edit or delete an accreditation organisation

  1. Go to Administration > General administration > Accreditation.
  2. Click the edit icon next to the organisation you want to change.
  3. Change the details and click Save.
  4. To delete an organisation, click the delete icon.

Note: Deleting an accreditation organisation affects all training to which the organisation is linked. First check whether active links still exist.

After creating an accreditation organisation, you can link accreditation points to a training definition:

  1. Open the training definition via Administration > Training > Training definitions.
  2. Go to the Accreditation tab.
  3. Select the accreditation organisation and enter the number of accreditation points.
  4. Optionally enter the area of activity.
  5. Click Save.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, you can link multiple accreditation organisations to a training definition. Enter the number of accreditation points for each organisation.

Are accreditation points awarded automatically after completing training?

Yes, when a user successfully completes training with linked accreditation points, the points are registered automatically in the user's profile.

Where can I view a user's accreditation points?

Accreditation points are visible on the Accreditation tab in the user profile. You can also use the Accreditation report for an overview.
