Buddy is the AI assistant in the training catalogue. This article answers frequently asked questions about Buddy. For using Buddy, read the article AI assistant (Buddy), and for configuration, read the article Setting up Buddy for your organisation.
Trainings
Which trainings does Buddy show?
Buddy only searches the trainings that the employee also sees in the catalogue. The Availability of a training (department and job profile) is a hard boundary. Within the available trainings, Buddy determines which trainings best match the question based on, among other things, the name, description, learning objective and target group. Read the full explanation and which fields Buddy uses in AI assistant (Buddy), section Find trainings.
Can I use the target group to determine who sees a training?
No. The target group is a text field that Buddy only reads after availability has been determined. If you want a training to be shown only to certain departments or job profiles, configure the Availability of the training.
Does the authorisation group determine which trainings Buddy shows?
No. The authorisation group only determines whether an employee can use Buddy and the catalogue, via the permissions $$name_user$$_Buddy and $$name_user$$_Catalogue.
Usage limit
How many questions can I ask Buddy per day?
Buddy has a personal daily limit. On average you can ask between 10 and 30 questions per day. The exact number depends on how much information is in the conversation. With each question, Buddy also reads along the ongoing conversation. Long conversations and answers with many trainings or certificates therefore use more of your limit than short questions.
When can I ask questions again after reaching my limit?
The limit resets every day at midnight (Dutch time). Buddy shows in the notification from when you can ask a question again.
Does the limit apply per user or for the whole organisation?
The limit applies per user. If one employee reaches the limit, other employees can simply keep using Buddy.
How can I avoid reaching my limit as quickly?
Start a new conversation when you want to talk about a different topic. Click the trash can icon above the messages. A short conversation uses less of your limit than a long conversation, because Buddy reads along the ongoing conversation with each question.
Why do I see the message "One question at a time, please"?
Buddy answers one question per user at a time. If you ask a new question while Buddy is still working on an answer, you see this message. Wait until the answer is ready and then ask your next question.
Chat history
How long is my conversation with Buddy kept?
Your conversation is kept as long as you keep using it. If you do not use a conversation for 7 days, it is deleted and Buddy starts a new conversation next time. You can also delete a conversation earlier yourself with the trash can icon.
