Frequently asked questions
What does it mean when a term is configurable?
Some terms in PlusPort Academy can be customised per portal. The portal administrator can, for example, configure whether end users are called "employees", "students" or "participants". The default term may therefore differ from what you see in your portal.
What is the difference between a certificate and a diploma?
Within PlusPort Academy, the term certificate is used broadly. It is proof that someone has completed a training or possesses a certain competency. It can be a certificate, declaration, diploma or other form of evidence.
What is the difference between a session and a training?
A training is the definition (the "what"), for example "Fire Safety Course". A session is a specific scheduled moment of that training (the "when"), for example "Fire Safety Course on 15 March". A training can have multiple sessions.
What is the difference between a learning pathway and a training programme?
A learning pathway is a bundle of multiple trainings that together form a learning path. A training programme is a broader structured programme that can consist of multiple trainings and certificates with interdependencies.
