The compliance overview provides insight into the competency status of users. You can quickly see which employees meet all requirements and which certficates are still missing or expired.
Requirements
- You need reporting rights to open compliance reports.
- Required certificates must be set at role, project, or personal level.
View Competency per User
- Open the user profile via Actions > Actions > Search User.
- Go to the Competency tab.
- You will see an overview divided into subtabs:
- Role — Required evidence based on the role and role group.
- Personally Required — Individually set requirements.
- Project — Requirements based on project membership.
The status is shown per piece of evidence: achieved, expired, or missing.
Report: Required Certificates
For an overview across multiple users:
- Go to Reports > Certificates > Required certificates
- Filter by department, role, or evidence.
- The overview shows for each user which certificate is required and whether it has been achieved.
You can sort the results by certificate category, certificate code, requirement type (role, project, or personal), additional, and status.
Report: Department Dashboard
The department dashboard gives you a visual overview of competency, enrollments, and attendance within your organisation, built from separate blocks. You need the Reporting_Dashboard right.
- Go to Reports > Reports > Department Dashboard.

Click Add New Block. You will get a selection list with available report types:
Competency per Department — Pie chart with the percentage of competent employees within a department
Enrollments per Department — Bar chart with the number of enrollments per status.
Attendance per Department — Pie chart with the attendance percentage within a department.
Competency per Project — Pie chart with the competency percentage within a project/team.

After choosing a type, fill in the settings:
Name — Give the block a recognisable name (required).
Department — Select the department (for the per-department types).
Project — Select the project (for the per-project type).
Width (small / medium / large) — Determine the width per screen size (1-12 columns).
Height — Determine the height (1, 2 or 3)
Under Options you can toggle the display on or off: Show Chart, Show Legend, and Show Export. Then click Save to add the block. Use Show Report (bottom right) to open the full detailed report in a new window.
Exporting
All compliance reports can be exported:
- Click Export to download the result as an Excel or CSV file.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if an employee is fully compliant?
An employee is compliant if all required evidence (role, project, and personal) is valid. This is displayed per category in the Competency tab.
Are exemptions included in the compliance overview?
Yes, active exemptions are treated as valid evidence. The user is marked as compliant for the relevant evidence as long as the exemption is valid.
Can I send a notification for missing certificates?
Yes, through the notification settings you can configure automatic reminders for users with missing or nearly expired evidence.
How does the department dashboard differ from the certificate reports?
The department dashboard offers a visual overview at department level. The certificate reports provide detailed lists with filtering and export options.
