Organizing Digital Content
To organize digital content clearly, you can use content folders and content groups. This helps structure large amounts of content, so you can quickly find and link the right modules to trainings.
Prerequisites
You need admin rights to manage content folders and content groups.
Content Folders
Content folders are folders where you can organize digital content (SCORM packages, videos, and other files).
Create a Content Folder
- Go to Admin > Content management > Manage digital content.
- Click on Add folder.
- Enter the name and code of the folder.
- Optionally select a parent folder to create a subfolder structure.
- Click on Save.
Move Content to a Folder
- Open the content item in a content folder.
- Select the folder where the content item should go under Parent folder.
- Click on Save.
Content Types
- Exam – An exam to test knowledge with score and percentage
- Review – A review for assessing work or performance
- Link/file – An external link or a document from the library
- SCORM (.zip) – A SCORM package for e-learning modules
- LTI – External content via LTI integration
- Video – A video file or link to a video

Content Groups
Content groups are used to determine which content is available for specific user groups or departments.
Create a Content Group
- Go to Admin > Content management > Manage content groups.
- Click on Add.
- Enter the name of the content group.
- Click on Save.
Link a Content Group
You can link content groups to content items to limit visibility:
- Open the content group and go to the Content for this group tab.
- Select the appropriate content items or content folder.
- Click on Save.
Note: If you use content groups, the content item is only visible to users who belong to the linked group. Always check if the correct groups are assigned.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I Place Content in Multiple Folders?
No, a content item can be assigned to one content folder. Use content groups if you want to make content available for multiple target groups.
Why Can't I Delete a Content Folder?
If there is no trash icon next to a content folder, it means you cannot delete the content folder. This is because there are still content items in the content folder. Delete or move these first, and you will see a trash icon appear to delete the content folder.
