A supplier is an external party—such as a trainer or training agency—that offers training to your employees. In PlusPort, you can register suppliers and link them to both trainings and users.
Here’s how it works: you first create a supplier in the system. Then you can link this supplier to trainings in the training planner, so it is clear which party is providing the training.
If an employee of the supplier also needs access to PlusPort (for example, to manage sessions or enter results), you create a user account for that person. You link this account to the supplier via the profile field "Supplier", and assign the user to an authorisation group of the type Supplier. This way, this user only sees the trainings linked to their supplier—not those of other suppliers or the rest of the portal.
Requirements
- You need the Planning_Manage_Supplier authorisation to manage suppliers.
Creating a Supplier
- Go to Planning > Training > Suppliers.
- Click Add.
There are several fields you can fill in, but the following are the most important:
Field Name Description Required Name The name of the supplier. Yes Code A unique code for the supplier. No Contact Person The name of the contact person. No Email Address (Administrative Contact) The supplier’s email address. Supplier notifications will be sent here. No Phone Number The supplier’s phone number. No Active Determines whether the supplier is available for assignment. Yes - Click Save.
Editing a Supplier
- Go to Planning > Training > Suppliers.
- Click on the supplier you want to edit.
- Adjust the details.
- Click Save.
Deactivating a Supplier
If you no longer want to use a supplier, you can deactivate them:
- Open the supplier.
- Set the Active field to No.
- Click Save.
Note: A deactivated supplier can no longer be assigned to new trainings, but existing links remain intact.
Supplier Notifications
Enable the notifications that are relevant for your organisation. This can be done via Management > Management > Notifications.
Waiting Room

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I delete a supplier?
No, suppliers cannot be deleted if they are linked to trainings. You can deactivate them. To delete a supplier, you must unlink them from all trainings first.
Can I add multiple contact persons?
The system supports one primary contact person per supplier. For additional contact details, you can use the comments field.
Why does a supplier user see all trainings instead of only those of their own supplier?
This happens because the user has the authorisation group Supplier but is not linked to a specific supplier in their user profile.
