What is a combined training?
Choose the Combined training type when you want to schedule trainings on specific days and times, on a specific date with specific trainers, supplemented with digital content.
The definition is the same as Classroom but provides an additional filter in the catalogue.
Data tab
The Data tab consists of the following sections by default:

Visibility in the catalogue – Include in notifications
An eye icon and an envelope icon are displayed next to each field:
- Open eye: The user can see this information in the catalogue.
- Closed eye: The information is hidden from users.
- Green envelope: The information is visible in the invitation email.
- Red envelope: The information is not included in the email.
Buttons
- Preview: Preview of the training definition.
- Save as copy: Save as a new copy of the training definition.
- Apply: Save and remain on the current page.
- Save and add component: Save and immediately add components to a training.
- Save: Save and return to the overview.
- Add training: (visible after adding a component) Directly create a training in the Training planner.
Content tab for this definition
Use this tab when the training definition contains digital components (e-learning). Link an existing content folder to the training definition so that content is immediately available to registered participants.
Components tab
Add one or more training components here. Each training definition must have at least one component in order to create and schedule the training. Follow these steps:
Click on the Components tab.
Click Add component.
Fill in the required fields:
- Name: Name of the component.
- Code: Code of the component.
- Type: Choose Classroom.
- Planning: Number of hours for the component (including breaks).
- Accreditation: Skip this component.
Click Save.
Create a training in the training planner by clicking Add training.
Knowledge and skills tab
Indicate which knowledge and skills are achieved at which level through the training. This tab is optional.
Functions tab
Only for whom the training is intended. The catalogue can be searched by these functions.
Documents tab
Add relevant documents: course agenda, directions, presentations. Configure whether they are sent along with the registration.
Options tab
Add fixed and custom training options. Prerequisite for custom options: first create them under Custom fields in the menu Planning & registration - Trainings. Fixed options are training formats, prior education, levels, etc.
Notification texts tabs
Contains text fields for specific notification texts:
- Text passed (coursetextpassed)
- Text failed (coursetextfailed)
- Text not finished (coursetextnotfinished)
These texts provide training-specific notifications.
Scheduling sessions in the training
Click the Schedule button.
The Edit session window opens.
Enter the following fields:
(if Trainer:) Enter a department/customer
Status: Choose a status for the session: Planned or Definitive (default: Planned).
Registration disabled: Users will not find the training in the catalogue.
Lead trainer: A lead trainer also processes the attendance.
Minimum and maximum group size: adjustment of the default settings from the definition.
Send notification: enabled by default; sends notifications to users, trainers, etc.
Choose the date and time. The top-right corner indicates whether you have scheduled too much or too little time.
Select a location and select a trainer.
Depending on the settings, 'Email trainer' is checked.
Click the Add session button if the course consists of more than one day (part).
Click Save.
Note:
The Save button is only active when the Still to be scheduled field turns green. This means the time configured in the training definition has been fully scheduled.
